Lessons

sharpen your playing in a studio environment while learning basic recording techniques (ithaca-area)

I taught myself to play by listening to music, playing along, inventing parts, jamming with others and recording.  Making records and playing in bands is about creating and responding in the moment.  It’s about serving the music, wherever it leads.

There are lots of great players who slogged through volumes of books that did little to help them find their own voices.  I’m not one of them.  I have always believed that the sound in your head is what should come out of your body, and that the fastest way to get to that sweet spot is by listening, and layering, as your ability grows.

If you want to advance on guitar, bass, harmonization, songwriting, arranging, etc., while using the recording studio as a tool, or if you just want to focus on recording and production skills, reach out and we’ll figure out whether we’re a good fit and how we might structure a program geared to your goals.
